IT'S TIME FOR AFRICA
We've curated a list of our favorite activities and must-see spots to help all of our visitors enjoy everything the beautiful city of Cape Town has to offer. From stunning beaches and wine farms to African sunsets, mountain hiking, and rich cultural experiences, there's something for everyone. Dive into our recommendations—after all, Saskia spent so many weekends on this that she might need a vacation in Cape Town herself after the wedding!

Beaches
Cape Town boasts some of the best beaches in the world. We suggest you check out a couple of the below, but be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen this time of year—the South African sun is strong. And, for all the Chicago folks / Ohioans, this is the ocean, not a lake!
-
Muizenberg Beach - Learn how to surf!
Sightseeing
Watch the entertaining baboons at Cape Point, cable car up the iconic Table Mountain (one of the 7 Wonders of Nature), discover the bustling V&A Waterfront, and so much more.
-
Cape Point Nature Reserve - Take incredible drive around Chapmans Peak on the way)
-
Lions Head Hike - Scenic hike with panoramic view. (A favorite!)
-
Signal Hill - Panoramic viewpoint of Cape Town (paragliding too).
-
Robben Island Museum - For the historians!
-
Kirstenbosch Botancial Gardens - One of the best in the world!
-
Boulder's Beach - Also known as the Penguin Beach!

Wine Farms Constantia
The wedding will be in the Cape Winelands, so if you can't make this stop, don't worry. However, the Constantia suburb of Cape Town is home to many wine farms and one of our favorites, Constantia Glen, from where we've stumbled home more than once.
-
Beau Constantia - Fine Dining
-
Buitenverwachting - Experience a wine picnic.
Restaurants
Where do we begin? Cape Town's restaurant scene is a food lover's paradise, reflecting South Africa's fame for exceptional cuisine and wine. Whether you're craving steak, seafood, or vegetarian fare, you'll find it all here.
